There was a two-vehicle accident taking place just prior to 9:00am Tuesday across from the Cherokee County Animal Shelter in Centre. That collision involved a 2014 Toyota Camry driven by Audrey McCown, age 19, and a 2004 Chevy Silverado 3500 being driven by 43 year old Larry Offord of Centre.
Neither individual was listed on the Centre Police Department accident report as being hurt in the mishap. The cause of the accident remains under investigation by Centre Police. The Centre Fire Department and Cherokee EMS also responded to the scene.
