UPDATED

There was a single vehicle rollover occurring on County Road 19 just south of County Road 59, shortly before 1:00pm on Wednesday.

Mt. Weisner and Centre Fire Department units, Floyd EMS, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and Alabama State Troopers responded to the scene.  The vehicle, listed on the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report as a 1999 Toyota overturned then struck a power pole – trapping the driver, a female resident of Centre, inside.

According to the report, the driver was injured in that mishap however no additional information regarding the extent of her injuries has been released.

That wreck remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.

According to reports, the vehicle overturned and struck a power pole trapping the driver inside, fortunately it appears she was not injured.
