One Killed, Two Injured in DeKalb County Accident Tuesday Morning / UPDATED

One person was killed, and two others were injured, in a three-vehicle accident taking place early Tuesday morning in DeKalb County.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report, the wreck occurred on Alabama Highway 75, just south of Fyffe at approximately 5:00am – involving a 2019 Buick driven by a female resident of Geraldine and a 2015 Ford being driven by a male resident of Geraldine along with a 2016 Mazda that was being driven by 53 year old Lorey Anna Zaman of New Hartford, New York – who was fatally injured in the collision.

The accident report indicated that Zaman’s vehicle crossed the centerline into the oncoming lane of traffic, striking the other two vehicles.

The other two drivers were transported to separate jospitals for treatment; Zaman was pronounced dead at the scene.

That accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
