One Person Airlifted Following Two Car Crash On Saturday

One person was airlifted to a trauma center following a two vehicle head on collision taking place on County Road 43 near the County Road 275 intersection on Saturday.

Tucker’s Chapel Firefighters, Cherokee EMS, Cherokee County Rescue Squad personnel, Sheriff’s Office deputies and Alabama State Troopers all responded to the scene just after noon.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency that accident involved a 2004 Nissan driven by James Fox of Leesburg, the report indicated that Fox was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and a 2016 Dodge truck driven by Ryan Law of Piedmont.

A landing zone was setup at the Tucker’s Chapel Fire Station where Fox was taken to Erlanger Hospital; their condition is not known at this time.

The accident remains under investigation.
