One person was airlifted from the scene of a two vehicle accident taking place at the intersection of Highway 9 and County Road 131 just North of Cedar Bluff in front of the Country Store on Wednesday afternoon.
Cedar Bluff Police and Firefighters and Cherokee EMS responded to the scene after a 911 call reporting one of the victims laying in the middle of the roadway.
The impact of the crash sent one of the vehicles several hundreds of feet off of the roadway and into a small tree.
The exact cause of the accident is under investigation – we’ll have more information as soon as Cedar Bluff Police Department accident reports are released.
