One person was seriously injured after a vehicle struck the lawnmower she was riding just before 10:30 Friday morning on County Road 29 near County Road 328.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report, 62 year old Lenoria Patterson of Spring Garden was struck by a 2008 Ford truck while mowing her yard at 10:15 a.m. Friday.
Patterson was treated at the scene by Piedmont EMS Medics and then taken to Spring Garden High School where she was airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta for what was described as neuro and trauma services.
Family members say that Patterson suffered some broken bones and is in stable condition.
In addition to Piedmont EMS, the Spring Garden Fire Department and ALEA also responded to the scene.
