A Springville man was hurt after slamming his 2005 Pontiac into a power pole in Sand Rock on Wednesday afternoon just after 2:30.
The impact knocked the power pole to the ground on Valley Street resulting in the driver of the car, identified on an Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report as Daniel Caton, as being hurt. No additional information was available regarding the extent of Caton’s injuries, and no age was listed on the report.
Those responding to the scene included Leesburg Firefighters, Cherokee EMS, the Cherokee Electric Co op and Alabama State Troopers
The cause of that accident remains under investigation.
