A Leesburg woman was injured in a fall at Cherokee Rock Village over the weekend. 35 year old Daphne Coley was at the park with her children Saturday, when she slipped and fell some 25 feet shortly after 7:00pm.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and treated Coley on-site, before transporting her to a location near the park entrance, where she was met by a waiting helicopter which carried her to the Trauma Unit at Huntsville Hospital.
According to family members, Coley suffered a broken hip and a broken ankle in the fall.
