An overturned 18 wheeler shutdown a portion of the Piedmont Highway at around 4:00 this morning near Nichols Animal Clinic in Centre.
According to firemen on the scene the big rig was hauling a load of groceries and produce for Wal-Mart and the driver was not injured though he did have be assisted in getting out of the cab of the truck.
It took wrecker crews an extended period of time to upright the vehicle, we’ll have more as soon as accident reports become available.
