Padgett Extradited Back to Georgia; Wessels Remains in Cherokee County Jail

24 year old Jody Dillon Padgett, who was apprehended here in Cherokee County following an alleged robbery/kidnapping incident occurring in Chattooga County, Georgia on Monday July 24th, was booked in at the Chattooga County Jail on Sunday after being extradited back from Alabama.

He was being held locally on Promoting Prison Contraband charges; now, in Georgia, he has been charged with Kidnapping, False Imprisonment, Home Invasion 1st Degree Aggravated Assault, Armed Robbery/Robbery by Intimidation and Theft by Taking in connection with a report from a male victim who called 9-1-1 stating that he’d been the victim of a robbery by two men, later identified as Padgett and Justin Wayne Wessels of Cedar Bluff.

Wessels currently remains in the Cherokee County Detention Center, on a Failure to Appear charge for Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and a Court Order – he currently remains on Hold for Chattooga County, Georgia authorities as well.
