Pair Arrested on Burglary Charges

Two individuals have been arrested in connection with separate break-in’s taking place last year in Etowah County.

Sheriff Todd Entrekin reports that 41 year old Christopher Joe Teet of Gadsden and 35 year old Sarah Mae Burttram of Collinsville are accused of breaking into two homes and stealing various merchandise, including two firearms, then pawning many of the items at area pawn shops. 

Evidence found during a search warrant in DeKalb County by Collinsville Police led to their arrest.

Teet was charged with two counts of third-degree burglary, one count of first-degree theft of property and one count of second-degree theft of property, all felonies.  Burttram is charged with third-degree burglary and second-degree theft of property.  Bond for Teet has been set at $20,000 meanwhile bond for Burttram has been set at $7,500.
