Patsy Nell Thompson, age 80 of Centre, passed away Saturday, January 23rd at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 1: PM Saturday, January 30th at Perry Funeral Home with Rev. James Wells and Rev. Bobby Brown officiating; burial will follow in Walker’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 until 1: PM Saturday, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Survivors include sons, Joey Kim (Lavonda Kay) Thompson of Centre, Johnny Tim (April LeAnn) Thompson of Centre, Tony Shayne (Juanita Marie) Thompson of Bridgewater, Iowa, Mark Lane (Mary Elizabeth) Thompson of Centre; daughters, Teena Denise (Hershell Bobby) Brown of Centre; brother, Troy Lane McGatha of Dalton, GA; sisters, Doris Seay of Dalton, GA, Janice Little of Gadsden, Peggy Wood of Centre; 20 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Thompson was a native of Cherokee County, the daughter of the late Orbin Clarence and Erma Inez Weaver McGatha. Patsy was an active member of Full Gospel Baptist Church. She was dearly loved by her friends and church family.
