City of Piedmont Water Facility Upgrades

 

The City of Piedmont will soon be making big upgrades to city water facilities.

In the latest Piedmont City Council meeting, the council members adopted Resolution 2022-28 Authorizing Piedmont Mayor Bill Baker to sign the agreement with ADEM for upgrades to the city’s drinking water treatment, and distribution facilities. Through the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund, Piedmont will receive $540,000 for the upgrades which is a grant and does not have to be paid back.

 

The council also adopted Resolution 2022-29 authorizing Mayor Bill Baker, to sign the agreement with ADEM for upgrades to the city’s waste water treatment facilities through the Clean Water State Revolving Fund in the amount of $1,075,500 which is also a grant that does not need to be paid back.
