The Piedmont McDonald’s was damaged by fire on Thursday morning, according to the Piedmont Fire Department the damage appears to be isolated to the attic area of restaurant, firefighters spent most of the day on Thursday at the scene.
At this time the exact cause of the fire has not been determined, we do know that Piedmont Police and Piedmont Rescue were also called to the scene. Piedmont Fire Chief Mike Ledbetter was no available today but we will be speaking with him sometime tomorrow as soon as the official report is complete. At this time there have been no reports of any injuries.
The restaurant will remained closed until further notice.
