Piedmont Man Facing Multiple Charges Following Law Enforcement Pursuit

A 20 year old Piedmont man was arrested and booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center on a long-list of charges – including attempting to elude a police officer – on Monday.  In addition to attempting to elude, Colton Michael Lambert was charged with speeding, a u-turn, two counts of failure to stop at stop sign, reckless driving, improper lane usage, speed above 45 mph on county roads, driving on the wrong side of the highway, failure/refusal to display insurance and unlawful possession of marijuana second degree.  Lambert was booked into jail just before midnight – his bond has been set at $5,500.

The chase reportedly began in Cherokee County and at one point crossed into Floyd County Georgia.

No additional information regarding the incident has yet been released.
