Piedmont Mayor Bill Baker Discusses Utility Payment Options For Piedmont Residents During The Month Of May

Residents in Piedmont will soon notice some changes in their utility bills – Piedmont Mayor Bill Baker explains.

Mayor Baker explained that Piedmont has a large monthly power bill that Alabama Municipal Electric Authority expects payment on and that the city was not given an extension.

Baker did say that the city will waive all late fees/penalties for the past 60 days.

Mayor Baker said that feels like the city has been more than lenient and favorable during these unprecedented times and said that he feels like residents feel that it is time for them to get caught up on their power bills.

Piedmont City Hall is open Monday through Friday during normal business hours 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and they do have a drive-up window, drop box and online bill pay.
