Piedmont Police Seize Drugs and 9mm Handgun During Execution of Search Warrant

Piedmont Police Seize Two Pounds of Pot

Five people landed behind bars Friday after Piedmont Police found crack cocaine, morphine pills and pre-packaged marijuana inside a home located in the 400 block of North Fifth Avenue.

The bust was made after the Piedmont Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at the residence; those placed under arrest include 23 year old Damarious Jerell Boyd; Devon Brittany Weber, age 25; Marcus Deontay Pinson, age 30; 20 year old Erich Keanna Gamble & Russell Levi Robinson Jr., age 22.

According to the Anniston Star, each individual is facing two felony charges of the possession of a controlled substance, and a felony charge of possession of marijuana.  Boyd faces an additional felony charge of obstructing justice through using a false identity.

Pinson, Gamble and Robinson have bonds set at $30,000; Boyd at $40,000 and Weber at $7,500.

All five have a court date of February 24th.

Piedmont Police Chief Steven Tidwell said a 9mm handgun had also been seized at the scene.
