There’s some good news for Piedmont shoppers as the Piedmont City Council, on Tuesday, voted to participate in the state of Alabama’s 15th annual sales tax holiday, set for Friday, July 17th, through Sunday, July 19th.
On these days, shoppers will have an opportunity to purchase certain school supplies, computers, books and clothing free of the state and local sales and use tax.
In other business, bills for payment were approved in the amount of $409,167.21.
The next regular Piedmont City Council Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 2nd, immediately following the work session, which is set for 5:30pm.
