Prowler Reported in the Noah Community

The investigation continues into a complaint issued by a resident of the Noah community in the early morning hours of Saturday.

A call was made to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office at 6:41am reporting that someone was attempting to break into the homeowner’s vehicle.  Officers arrived moments later, and were told the suspect was a tall, thin white male dressed in all-black, wearing a ski mask.

It was also learned that a nearby resident had heard a knock on their door earlier at around 2:30am – but the subject fled when that homeowner shouted at them

Officers spent a couple of hours searching a nearby wooded area, but were unable to locate anyone.

Residents in the area were advised to lock their doors and remain vigilant – and advised to call 9-1-1 to report any suspicious activity.
