A 35 year old Rainbow City man was recently arrested in connection with the theft of a pair of utility trailers from a residence in Whorton Bend.
Matthew James White allegedly took those two trailers from that property with permission, but never returned them. He later told investigators that he pawned them, and at this point neither trailer has been recovered. White was also found to be in possession of yet another utility trailer, which had been stolen from property located on Church Circle in the Ball Play community. That trailer was located and returned to the rightful owner.
White has been charged with both felony Theft of Property 1st Degree and felony Receiving Stolen Property 3rd Degree.
He is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center.
