DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris says a Rainsville man has been arrested for producing child pornography.

51 year old Randall Miller Berry was arrested after investigators determined he was allegedly producing pornographic material at his residence.

Berry was taken into custody Friday after investigators seized computers and cell phones during their investigation.

Department of Human Resources and the Child Advocacy Center are working with DeKalb County and Rainsville officers as they continue to follow up on this case.

The computers and phones will be examined by the FBI and additional charges may be presented to the District Attorney or US Attorney if they meet the criteria for Federal prosecution.

Berry is charged with Production of Obscene Material which is a Felony. Berry is in the DeKalb County Detention Center awaiting bond.

Harris states “this case is on-going and we are working to see if there is a pattern of behavior or of this case goes beyond the borders of DeKalb County. We hope to gain more information once these devices are examined by the FBI. What I have seen so far is very disturbing but we don’t know how far it goes yet.”
