Rainsville Man Charged with Violation of Sex Offender Registration Notification Act

A Rainsville man was arrested on Tuesday, and charged with a violation of the Sex Offender Registration Notification Act.  DeKalb County Deputies had gone to the residence of 42 year old James Edward Price on a number of occasions and failed to find him there.

A warrant was obtained for Price and he was arrested on those charges, while his bond was revoked on previous SORNA charges.

DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris assured the public that his office will continue to make checks in order to be sure that sex offenders are where they are supposed to be, as outlined under the guidelines of the Sex Offender Registration Notification Act.

In DeKalb County they’re required to register their address with the Deputy Clerk/Offender Compliance Specialist, with the name of each offender and their address being listed on the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office website at www.dekalbcountysheriff.org
