On Wednesday of this week (January 30th) at approximately 5:50pm – the Rainsville Police Department was dispatched to County Road 505, in reference to a single vehicle wreck that involved a fatality.  Officers from the Rainsville Police Department and DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, Alabama State Troopers, Rainsville Fire & Rescue and Blake Community Fire & Rescue all responded.

On scene, a passerby stopped and performed CPR on the victim, but left prior to the arrival of law enforcement.  The Rainsville Police Department would like to talk to this individual about the crash.  Rainsville Police Chief Kevin R. Smith stated “This person is a possible witness to that crash and could have pertinent information that will aid in the investigation.”
