Ralph LaVaughn Whitten, age 73 of Centre, passed away Tuesday, January 12th at his residence.

Funeral services will be 12 PM Wednesday, January 13th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Marty Grimes officiating; burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 12 PM Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include the Masons of the Sam Dixon Lodge of Centre. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ken Murphree, Joe Young, Jeff Bradley, Ken Lowe, Michael Bradley, Justin Whaley, Cellie Wayne Miller, John Money, Ben Elrod and Daniel Johnson.

Survivors include son, Whitt (Kristi) Whitten; daughter, Whitney (Warren) Parker; brother, Lowell Gene (Katy) Whitten; one grandson, W.C. Parker.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jan Whitten; sister, Dianne Jacobs.

Mr. Whitten was a native of Cherokee County and the son of the late Ralph and Evelyn Whitten.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Friendship Cemetery Fund or The East Alabama Regulators Christmas Fund, 300 Cedar Bluff Rd., Centre, AL 35960.
