Pre-K registration for the upcoming school year, which will get underway in August, is now underway in Cherokee County and Thursday, WEIS Radio welcomed two members of the county education system into the studios to discuss registration.
Randy Smith and Sara Richardson joined Jerry Baker on the WEIS Radio Morning Show and discussed, among other things, the age requirement and control date, the list of information and documents needed and the on-line process itself, which is new and improved this year:

Open enrollment for Cherokee County CDC Pre-K, Gaylesville Pre-K, Sand Rock Pre-K and Spring Garden Pre-K will be January 15 -March 12, 2018. Children must be four years old by September 1, 2018. No five year olds will be accepted. Registration forms must be completed online at https://alprek.asapconnected.com
Birth certificate and proof of residence will be required. The random drawing for the 2018-2019 school year will be March 14 at Sand Rock School at 8:00 a.m., Gaylesville School at 10:00 a.m., Cherokee County Career and Technology Center at 12:00 p.m. and Spring Garden School at 2:00 p.m.
