“Ready To Work” Mobile Job Program Now Available In Cherokee County

Ready-to-Work is a free program that teaches anyone who would like to attend the classes the employability skills (soft skills) that are necessary to obtain a job in today’s environment. Individuals are taught time management, problem solving, critical thinking, and more – all skills that make them a more valuable employee for a future employer. Participants who complete the class earn the ACT National Career Readiness Certification and the Alabama Certified Worker Certification.

The mobile unit/mobile classroom was delivered and set up in Leesburg on Monday at the FEMA shelter behind Leesburg City Hall. Carl Brady, Workforce Program Manager for East Alabama Works talks more about the program.

Gadsden State Cherokee will conduct the classes and provide instructors. Brady says there will be an official event for people to come out and learn more about the Mobile Ready to Work Program. Visit www.EastAlabamaWorks.com to find out more information on the ready to work program and more.
