Regina Gipson “GG” Burns, passed away Wednesday morning, November 6th.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents W.J. and Ruby Mable Evans, and Parents Ray and Dorothy Gipson. 

She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, George Edward Burns; one son, Bradley Burns; a brother, Leon Gipson (Dot) and a sister, Patricia G. Johnson (Russ), in addition to a number of nieces and nephews.

Gina was a devoted wife, loving mother and artist well-known throughout the country for her fashion illustrations and functional art.  She was a mental health advocate, spending countless hours advocating for those without a voice.  The kindness she showed to countless friends and family has made a lasting impression on everyone she cared for.

Services will be held at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, Alabama on Sunday, November 10th (2019). 

Visitation will be from 11:00am – 1:00pm with the service to immediately follow.
