Remains Believed to be Those of Kamille “Cupcake” McKinney Found in Dumpster Near Warrior

Remains believed to be those of Kamille “Cupcake” McKinney, have been found inside of a dumpster at a landfill near Warrior.

Birmingham Police and FBI Agents made the discovery Tuesday night, reporting they found the three year old’s remains inside a Santek dumpster which had been parked in the Center Point area and later moved to the landfill.

Investigators have been sifting through about 12 tons of trash collected from in and around the Birmingham area for several days.

Police are reportedly planning to charge Patrick Stallworth, age 39 and Derick Irisha Brown age 29, with capital murder and kidnapping in connection with McKinney’s death, The day following the child’s abduction, police took Stallworth and Brown – his girlfriend – into custody, and impounded his vehicle, after authorities stated he was identified as a man seen in surveillance footage at a store near the time the incident occurred. His Toyota Sequoia matched the description given by other children in that area who said a man had been handing candy to kids at Tom Brown Village.

Stallworth’s attorney, Emory Anthony, declined to comment on the planned charges against his client. Anthony has previously stated Stallworth has an alibi for the time frame in which police said the abduction occurred and that his client doesn’t know any of the child’s family members.  Brown, meanwhile, was being held on a bond revocation from a previous kidnapping case involving her children. Stallworth was charged with seven counts of possession of child pornography after investigators found multiple images in his phone. None of those images were of Kamille McKinney.  He was released on $500,000 bond, but taken back into custody about 7:00pm Tuesday.
