Reports: Marlins Fire Hitting Coach Barry Bonds

Phil Ellsworth / ESPN Images(MIAMI) — Barry Bonds’ time as a hitting coach in Miami has reportedly come to an end.

Multiple reports say the Marlins fired the former slugger after just one season with the team.

Miami is also said to have parted ways with third-base coach Lenny Harris and bullpen coach Reid Cornelius.

The moves come after the Marlins failed to clinch a spot in the playoffs. The team finished the regular season with a record of 79-82.
