Rescue Workers Extricate Driver In Single Vehicle Crash On County Road 33

Emergency crews responded to the scene of a single vehicle rollover on County Road 33 just north of the Sanford Springs Water Treatment Plant on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Chief Phillip Winkles with Piedmont Rescue & EMS the call came in at 1:28 with multiple units arriving on the scene less than ten minutes later.

Piedmont Rescue Paramedics had to use hydraulic extrication equipment to remove the 77 year old female driver.

The victim was treated on scene and transported to RMC Jacksonville suffering orthopedic injuries as well as some minor lacerations.

The Spring Garden Fire Department and Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene – we’ll have more as accident reports are made available.
