Reward Being Offered for Information on Fire at Mount Vernon Mills

The Trion, Georgia Fire Department in neighboring Chattooga County, has said that a reward is being offered for information regarding the October 30th fire occurring at Mount Vernon Mills.

According to the Trion Fire Department, a total of 19 fire departments, from Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee responded – with more than 100 firefighters assisting in the operation, which lasted for approximately 27 hours.  Fire Chief Justin Lowe has worked alongside the state to determine the exact cause of that fire, which had reportedly broken out in various locations in the facility.   Chief Lowe is urging anyone with any information to contact him at (706) 734-4917 – or 1-800-282-5804.
