Riding the Rails to Jail

FCSO - Turner - 04-11-2013 (Railroad Theft)A Lindale man remained in the Floyd County Jail without bond on Wednesday evening, after he was charged with stealing copper wire from the railroad tracks near Donahoo Road.

35 year old Nathaniel John Turner – was found to be in possession of a knife, cutters, a machete and a saw blade when police confronted him; he tried to avoid arrest by running into the woods – needless to say, that didn’t work out for him.

He was charged with misdemeanor criminal trespass, misdemeanor theft by taking, misdemeanor obstruction, misdemeanor possession of tools during the commission of a crime, and with felony possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime.
