ROGERS: DEMOCRATS SHOW SUPPORT FOR INFANTICIDE

Congressman Mike Rogers made the following statement after signing the discharge petition Tuesday on the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. This discharge petition would force Speaker Pelosi to bring the bill up for a vote.

The legislation introduced by Rep. Ann Wagner (R-MO) would ensure any baby born that survives an abortion would receive the same standard of care as any baby born in normal circumstances.

“Life is precious and as a father of three children, this legislation is very important to me.  I do not understand how anyone could not support taking care of a living, breathing innocent baby that survives an attempted abortion.

Anyone in opposition of this, is supporting infanticide. It’s wrong and it’s disgusting. I will always stand up for the rights of these babies who cannot stand up for themselves,” Rogers said.

Rogers serves as Ranking Member of the House Committee on Homeland Security and is a senior member of the House Armed Services Committee.
