ROGERS TO SCHIFF: SHARE WHAT’S HAPPENING BEHIND CLOSED DOORS

(Washington, DC)—Congressman Mike Rogers made the following statement after sending a letter to Rep. Adam Schiff, Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, requesting access to the interview transcript of Ambassador Kurt Volker, the former special envoy to Ukraine.

“These behind closed door meetings should be open to Members of Congress and the American people. House Democrats’ continued refusal to share information or even bring a vote to the House Floor on the impeachment inquiry shows their disregard for fairness. 

“This sham of an impeachment inquiry is a big deal for our country and one that should be done out in the open as it has been previously. I will continue to stand with President Trump and fight against this partisan nonsense and waste of the American People’s time,” Rogers said. 

Rogers serves as Ranking Member on the Committee on Homeland Security and a senior member of the House Armed Services Committee.
