Rome Bicyclist Hurt After Striking Side of Chevy Silverado

A man riding his bicycle was hurt – when he slammed into a vehicle at the intersection of Riverbend Drive and Turner McCall Boulevard in Rome on Monday afternoon.

According to police officers 26 year old Samuel Bryan was riding his bike on the sidewalk, when he failed to yield and started across the roadway, hitting the passenger side of a Chevy Silverado.

Pedestrian’s have the right of way at most intersections, but not all – as was the case here.  Bryan was transported from the scene of the accident to Floyd Medical Center where he was treated and released.
