Rome Man Turns Himself In Following Monday Shooting Incident

FCSO - Shooter Turns Himself In24 year old Christopher Charles Carter, Jr. has turned himself in to Rome Police.

Carter, who turned himself in on Monday was wanted in connection with the shooting of Marcus Henderson last Friday (October 18th) on Grady Avenue in North Rome, at around 2:30pm.

Henderson, age 20, was shot in the chest – fortunately it appears his wounds were not considered life-threatening.

Police believe the two men did know each other however they would not elaborate on the matter.

Carter was booked into the Floyd County Jail on charges of felony aggravated assault, along with a probation violation.

What led to the shooting has yet to be revealed.
