ROME, GA—Rome City Schools is deeply saddened by the tragic death of Rome Middle School teacher, Dwight Hurt.
Hurt died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Sunday, June 3, 2018. Mr. Hurt was a first-year teacher of 8th grade English and Language Arts. He was loved by the students of Rome Middle School and respected by his colleagues.
Our thoughts are with the Hurt family and all of those affected by this loss.
