Rome Murder Suspect Facing Additional Charges; Accused of Third Shooting

28 year old Lamar Rashad Nicholson, who was charged with killing one man, then seriously wounding another just moments later in a second convenience store shooting last Tuesday, has now been charged with shooting another man two days earlier.

On February 6th Nicholson shot and killed Parmjit Singh at Hi-Tech Fuel located on Burnett Ferry Road, then traveled to Elm Street Food at 204 North Elm where he shot Parthey Patel – who survived after being transported to a nearby hospital.

He was charged with Murder and Aggravated Assault in connection with those attacks.

On Monday of this week, he was charged with shooting a 50 year old man in the leg back on February 4th.  That incident took place on Wilma Drive, and he has now been charged with Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Battery, and Possession of Firearm During the Commission of a Crime in connection with that incident.

He has additionally been charged with Interference with Government Property and Causing a Riot in a Penal Institution, after allegedly damaging a sprinkler head in his jail cell causing the cell to flood.
