Rome Pair Charged with Hitting Elderly Dementia Patient

Two Rome residents were arrested Tuesday after being accused of hitting an elderly woman suffering with dementia.

According to Floyd County Jail records – 37 year old Rebecca Faye Gregg, and 46 year old John Phillip Terry, were overheard by witnesses telling the victim to shut up, and were also overheard making threats to hit the victim who had visible bruises on both her eye and arm.

The couple are facing charges of simple assault and the exploitation and intimidation of an elder adult.
