Rome Police Searching for Cedar Bluff Man

hit and runFloyd County authorities are searching for a Cherokee County resident, in connection with a Hit and Run incident occurring in Rome. According to Officer Stacey Kidd of the Rome PD a GMC Yukon was rear-ended by an Oldsmobile Bravada on the Cartersville Highway near Wal-Mart.

The driver of the Bravada then fled the scene on foot, while driver of the Yukon was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Police say the hit and run driver has been identified as Daniel Harris of a Cedar Bluff address.

He also has active arrest warrants on an unrelated incident.

Officers say the vehicle he was driving at the time of the crash was possibly stolen.
