Well – it was certainly something you don’t see every day.
A dump truck overturned on Huffaker Road in Floyd County Thursday afternoon, after the driver ran off the shoulder of the road, causing the load to shift and send the vehicle onto its side.
Rome Police say the driver suffered a head injury, but was conscious and alert following the roll-over – even managing to get out of the truck on his own. Steven Crews of Rome was transported by ambulance to Floyd Medical Center for treatment of a deep cut to the forehead.
