Ronald (Ronnie) Wilson Rains 74, of Auburn, AL formerly of Centre, AL passed away at UAB Hospital in Birmingham on October 21, 2021. He was born on July 5, 1947 at his childhood home in the Sand Valley Community in Centre, AL to his late parents, Woodrow Wilson and Venice Tucker Rains.

Ronnie is survived by his children: Brandi Rains of Tampa, FL, and Misti Rains Kantor (Mark) of Auburn, AL and four grandchildren: Kolt Ashe, Riley Bryson, Jack Bryson, and Kate Diann Bryson all of Auburn, AL Surviving sisters are Gail Hayes and Freida (Andy) Ellis both of Centre, AL. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews survive.

Ronnie was a graduate Cherokee County High School class of 1965, Auburn University and Jacksonville State University. He retired from the Cherokee County School System. He was a former Ag Teacher in Alexandria, AL., Counselor and Director of Cherokee County Area Vocational School, Centre, AL. Ronnie was a member of First Baptist Church Centre and former deacon and Sunday School Director. He was formally involved with several church, civic, and community organizations. He served on several educational and vocational committees for the state of Alabama including Gadsden State.
