Sand Rock claims 10-4 softball win over Cedar Bluff

SAND ROCK – Jadyn Foster collected three hits, three runs and two RBIs in leading the Sand Rock Lady Wildcats to a 10-4 softball win over Cedar Bluff on Monday.

Ella Grace Hood added a pair of hits, three runs, a walk and two RBIs for the Lady Wildcats (2-6). Sammi Parker also contributed two hits and two RBIs. Rylin St. Clair delivered a triple and scored a run. Maggie Tinsley doubled and drove in a pair of runs. Maggie Hester had a hit, a walk and a run. Sherina Foster had a hit, a walk and a RBI. Katelyn St. Clair finished with a hit and scored a run.

Hood earned the win in the circle. She went the distance, giving up three earned runs on five hits with two walks and 10 strikeouts.

Emma Haney led the Lady Tigers (1-7) at the plate with a home run, a walk, two runs and two RBIs. Reece Patterson doubled, scored a run and drove in another. Mattie Payne had a hit, walked, and scored a run. Haley Allen and Jordyn Walker both contributed a hit.

Patterson suffered the loss.

Cedar Bluff hosts Collinsville on Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. Sand Rock hosts Glencoe at 5 p.m.
