A 52 year old Cherokee County man was arrested early Tuesday afternoon on a Violation of the Sex Offender Registration Notification Act.
According to information posted on the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office website Sand Rock resident James Drake Ward was taken into custody on that charge, and was booked into jail at approximately 2:00pm.
Ward is listed as currently residing at 415 County Road 166 in Sand Rock. He is required to register as a sex offender due to a charge of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation.
Ward is a white male standing approximately five-nine (5’9″) weighing around 170 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair.
At this time, he remains lodged in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
