Sand Rock Native Race Clausen Visits WEIS Radio On Thanksgiving To Talk About His Time At The U.S. Naval Academy

WEIS Radio welcomed a Hometown Hero to the studio on Thursday – Sand Rock native Race Clausen took time from his Thanksgiving Day for an interview with WEIS Radio Morning Show Host Jerry Baker.

Race is a 2017 graduate of Sand Rock High School and is currently stationed at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland serving in a four year program which requires five years of military service following the completion of the program. Race described the program as being similar to attending college but with a military lifestyle.

Race said that it was a nomination from Congressman Mike Rogers that ultimately led him to the Naval Academy. Race discussed the transition from high school and home to the military lifestyle –
