Cherokee County authorities are investigating a shooting incident that occurred on County Road 97 just before 9:00 Saturday morning.
Reports stated that an individual went to the residence of another saying that someone had been shot.
Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Investigators and Deputies responded to the scene. At this time, it appears the incident is an apparent suicide.
The JSU Center for Applied Forensics also responded to assist in the investigation.
