Scam Artists Calling Area Residents Claiming To Be From Sand Rock School

We have reported over and over again all the ridiculous plots scammers come up with to try and take advantage of unsuspected victims. This latest attempt proves exactly how desperate these thieves are getting.

On Friday afternoon we received a call from Sand Rock High School informing us that someone is calling area residents claiming to be from the school attempting to sale advertising signs for that are displayed throughout the stadium during football season. The caller tells the intended target that the cost is only $365 but if you pay with a credit/debit card TODAY you can get the sign for only $300.

Sharon Beck at Sand Rock School explains that the only issue is, the signs are only $100 to begin with –

This scam is actually two part and here is where it gets interesting, according to Sand Rock School the number the scammers are using is 214-988-6800. A quick Google search showed that number registered to a legitimate company out of Grand Prairie, Texas called Endzone Athletics, but since the caller is identifying themselves as a representative from Sand Rock School were pretty sure it’s not anyone from Endzone Athletics either.

We have contacted the company to make them aware of the situation but have not received a response as of yet. Unless you know for certain that it is Sand Rock School calling you, the easiest thing to do is to HANG UP!
