POSTED AT 10:50am FRIDAY, April 3rd

School meal pick up for children at Cedar Bluff High School, Centre Middle School, Cherokee County Career Tech, FEMA Building in Leesburg, Sand Rock High School, and Spring Garden High School continue today – meal pick up has been slow today – PLEASE DO NOT let these meals go to waste.

Pick up today includes three breakfasts and two lunches – the next pick up day will be next Tuesday, April 7th.

These meals are being offered through the Cherokee County Schools in cooperation with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) are providing meals at no charge for children 18 years of age and younger.

Children do not have to be students at a school within our system to participate in this program.  The program is designed to assist families in providing meals to their children during the emergency school closure.   All meals must be picked up and eaten off-site. Children must be present to receive a meal.  A lunch meal and the next day’s breakfast meal will be distributed each day.

These regulations are USDA requirements and must be followed in order for our system to participate in this program and to offer meals at no charge to anyone 18 and under or those who are currently enrolled in a K-12 school.

Meals will be picked up at the entrance to the school or building in a drive-thru fashion.
