Floyd County Police have now released the incident report regarding an armed robbery call over the weekend. According to the report, a clerk at the Handy Food Mart on Smith Road told police a man wearing a dark colored hoodie and a white face mask entered the store at around midnight Sunday, armed with a long barrel “Clint Eastwood style” revolver.
The man grabbed a white bag from the clerk’s hand, which contained the victim’s personal Acer 9-inch tablet. The clerk believes the suspect thought that the bag contained cash from the store.
The clerk added that he was shoved to the ground prior to the suspect fleeing the area.
