This project has been a labor of love for all those involved – with members of the Historical Preservation Society and other volunteers spending countless hours to help make the Estes Field site something the county can be proud.
The mission of the Historical Preservation Society of Cherokee County is to collect, preserve, promote, and share the heritage of Cherokee County, Alabama.
Our History
- The Cherokee County Historical Society was founded in 1972.
- The Cherokee County Historical Museum was opened in 1985.
- The Historical Preservation Society of Cherokee County Alabama was created in 2015.
